dear, sweet little sister turned 16 on September 4th! How crazy is that?! I can't hardly believe that she is driving by herself now (You hear that? Stay off the roads in Iowa City!!) or that she is a junior in high school. I've said it before and I'll say it again - Kellee is a wonderful person. She is a great friend, an awesome sister to me AND Jake, a fun Auntie to Silas and such a sweet blessing to our family. I can't imagine our family without her in it! 
We had a party with about 40 of her friends over to my parent's house Saturday night. It was rainy all day so the party got moved the garage/driveway where the kids danced, ate, made s'mores around a fire and had a great time. Silas even got in on the decorating....
....he volunteered to take pictures at the party....
...and even helped clean up!
One of Silas'FAVORITE things right now is being in the driver's seat in our cars. He regularly asks to go "bye-bye" or "beep beep". He loves climbing in the driver's seat, putting the key in the ignition (by himself), turning on the radio, dancing to music and playing. While I know this playing situation isn't ideal and could be hazardous in the future, he's having fun with it right now and we keep a good eye on him. :)
So I should probably apologize about my last post. Boy was I all worked up!! Two more part time positions have opened up at work (eek!) but I feel like God is telling me to wait. It's SO HARD to be patient but as I've learned in the past, His timing is perfect.
