It's quite funny to me to watch Silas with his friend, Vivian, and see how tender they are towards each other (until it comes to Silas' toys and then he maybe isn't so tender). :) Vivian and her Mommy, Marcie, came to visit Silas and I at my parent's house this past weekend. Who knows if they remember each other or not - we haven't seen them since June - but they seemed to hit it off right away and enjoyed looking out the window together. Who says chivalry is dead? (this was completely unprompted!)

Of course I'm joking when I call it young love, however they really are such cute friends. Silas kind of takes charge and talks a mile a minute while Viv is more reserved and sweetly sits, taking everything and everyone in. She wasn't always so shy and reserved, though when it came to Silas... ;)
Silas continues to (pleasantly) surprise me with how darn sweet is. Last night when I picked him up from daycare, he turned to his teacher and said, "Bye, thank you!" ...unprompted! My heart completely melted!! Granted, he is still all boy and will toot on me and laugh so I can't say we've completely mastered all manners. :)
Anyway, that's all for now. Jake just got back from 9 days in Dallas for business so we're enjoying having him home. Silas points to Jake and says, "Daddy" like he's reassuring himself that Daddy is here and real. It's pretty cute. :) Welcome home, Jake...we missed you!!!!
