Stella is 4 months old!

My sweet girl turned 4 months old a couple days ago so I figured it was time for an update!

This little lady is the kind of baby that makes me want more babies!! She is easy going, happy, a great sleeper (she's been sleeping through the night for about three weeks or so), and loves her Mama!

Here's what she's accomplished at 4 months:
*rolls from tummy to back
*thinks her big brother is the coolest
*drools a lot
*brings everything to her mouth - fingers, bibs, toys, anything!
*is content playing with her "gym", swinging, or in her activity center
*loves being in the bouncy seat where she can see what's going on
*tries to sit up on her own
*has mastered the left-handed middle and ring finger sucking to soothe herself
*Stella is 26 inches tall (same as Silas was at 4 months) and weights 14 pounds, 9 ounces (which is what Silas weighed at 2 months....ha!!!). She's in the 95th percentile for heights and 50th percentile for weight. What a little peanut!

We have been somewhat cooped up this winter and we are all ready for warmer weather! We've had a few days close to 50 degrees so I've bundled the kids up and gotten them outside for some fresh air!

Silas is already planning his 4th birthday party. It's so hard to believe he'll be 4! He is an AMAZING big brother. I am in awe of his love for his sister and hope they'll always be as close as they are.
Silas loves playing with his friends, is into any and all sports and has been working hard at tracing and writing the letters of the alphabet. He recognizes his name anywhere and enjoys writing it or having us write it.

I'll try to update more frequently!

The flu

Little Miss Stella got her first illness...and she got a nasty one! She ended up with influenza A and had two weeks of fevers (mostly low grade) but five days of fevers 102-103. Poor babe had such a hot little body and just moaned and cried. I felt so bad for her. We suffered through it with lots of snuggles and kisses (on the cheeks).

The little lady is now 3 months old and is the happiest, easiest baby. She is pure sweetness and I cannot get enough of her!!

We had a great Christmas at Mom and Dad's house and were spoiled by 4 days of good eats, lots of naps, and lots of hands to help with the kids. Silas was so fun this year for Christmas. We worked on the true meaning of Christmas, explaining Jesus' birthday, which was slightly confusing for Silas...he was just sure Jesus would be at Namma and Papa's house for his birthday party celebration. 😊 What a joy Christmas and even snow are when you have children that being so much excitement to little things.

Silas continues to be an amazing big brother. He tells me almost every day "I'm a man" and there is no arguing with that boy that he is not an adult. He's just sure he is. He and Jake have become best buds as I am usually tied up with Stella. Now that she's a bit older and can be entertained in her bouncy seat or swing, I'm able to do more with him and Jake like playing a game or playing the Wii.

These are our two gorgeous babies. Seriously, folks....could they be any more beautiful??!?
