I realize its been way too long since I've posted anything...is it just me or do most of my posts begin like this? :) I suppose we are just too busy enjoying life and summer to really have time to post.
Since my last entry, we found out baby #2 is a girl!! It took a while for me to get used to the idea of a girl since I'm loving the boy thing so much. Jake wasn't surprised at all...he said he's known all along it was a girl because of how emotional and moody I was early on (I like to think that's gotten better). Ad Silas couldn't be more thrilled about getting a baby sister. He frequently talks about baby sister and kisses my belly. He's asked some great questions about what baby sister will eat and somehow we got on e topic of what she will wear. I told him when she first comes out of Mommy's tummy, she would be naked. "NAKED?!?!??" he exclaimed. The thought seemed to be appalling and silly to him.
I'll be 26 weeks tomorrow and we're all enjoying feeling baby girl kick and move about. She is most active after I eat and especially active at 9pm. I love laying down to watch her move. Her movements are so much stronger than just a few weeks ago and I've even felt little fingers tickling my hip bones. :)
Right now we're headed home from 5 days in Branson with my family where we went to watch Kellee dance for Nationals. Silas is an amazing traveler and the 6.5 hours in the car (plus an hour with bathroom/food/stretch breaks) was a breeze. We enjoyed watching Kellee dance and spent two full days at the water park, which Silas LOVED!! He was big enough to go on the big family raft slide and the look on his sweet face was priceless!! There were also a few kiddie areas that he could do water slides by himself and we enjoyed the wave pool and lazy river. We enjoyed the first evening there on the go-karts (Jake and all the kids did it)...Silas' face was so cute, you could hear him and Jake hollering all through the track. I'd say the mini-vacation was perfect and just what we needed before baby girl comes.

The girls at the water park!
