It was SO MUCH FUN - all my favorite girls from work were there and we were so blessed with so many gifts!
I got some great gift baskets full of amazing things like blankets, clothes, 3-in-1 thermometer, diapers, butt paste, boogie wipes, toys, nursing pads, baby wash, etc. I got a bath tub, diaper genie, bumbo, fawcet cover, medicine kit, gift cards, teething toys....the list goes on and on. My wonderful and very generous parents bought us a sweet little outfit and our stroller/car seat with an extra base which has kept Jake entertained for a couple hours now. He's put the base in the car, taken the carseat in and out of the stoller a couple 20 times, folded up the stoller and taken it down over a dozen times, walked around the downstairs about 10 times, strapped on his man bag {his diaper bag} a couple times....he even put Jamis in the stroller and took her on a stroll around the downstairs, which she {surprisingly} didn't mind and seemed to enjoy. It has been so cute to watch him play with the stoller and talk to the invisible baby. :) That alone has warmed my heart and put a smile on my face for the rest of the evening! My parents also brought the cradle that my Grandpa Leonard had built for me when I was born, for us to use in our bedroom when Baby Soll arrives and Mom made bedding and bumpers to go in it since the originals were 25 years old and worn. Kellee got the baby a winter coat for next year and a little gown. I think she was most proud of the wrapping she had done! :) Here's a picture of us Darner girls, with Kellee holding baby Parker.

The whole day was wonderful - my family came to see me sing in church and from there we went to the shower while Jake and my Dad went to Bass Pro Shop. Us girls didn't back to our house until 4pm {the shower was at 1pm} and my aunt, Cindy, met us here to see all our gifts and see the nursery. She also got us diapers and pacifiers {thanks, Cindy!}. So...Jake and I along with the two cats spent the rest of the evening basking in the glory of baby stuff and going through all the great gifts. I'm completely exhausted now, but it was all so fun! The cats even enjoyed many of the gifts - the boxes, napping in the stroller, checking out the noisy toys, etc.
So for those of you that read the blog and came to the shower and/or got a gift, THANK YOU. You made this day so special and so much fun. Thank you for loving us and our baby and for taking time out of your day to celebrate with us. We are so thankful and feel so blessed.
