36-week check up

Holy smokes!!! Here we are! 9 MONTHS PREGNANT -- whoo-hoo!!!!

Jake and I went for my 36-week check up this morning and were pleasantly surprised to find out that I'm 2-3 cm dilated!!! I looked and the doctor and said, "but I haven't had any contractions, not even Braxton Hicks...." To that she replied, "well evidentally you have!" HA! Who knew?

She said she expects me to have this baby early and wouldn't be surprised if I went into labor at work (yes, I'm still working three 12-hour shifts). This got Jake and I a little nervous...although my bags are pretty much packed except for last minute items, I realized that I need to have those last minute items ready to go in case Jake has to come home and throw them together. More organizing to do!

Anyway, we're excited! However the longer this little one cooks, the more summer I'll have to spend with him so I'm okay with him staying in a little while longer. But just think.....we could have a baby at any time!! :) I'll keep you posted! Next appointment is next Friday.
